We have artificial intelligence already, though it may not be Tony Stark's J.A.R.V.I.S. level of AI. Most of us probably don't think of it as such, but Siri and Cortana are types of artificial intelligence. They have the ability to think for themselves, and while they are nowhere near as advanced as humans or J.A.R.V.I.S., it probably won't take them very long to reach that point, given the advancements that we've made in the field of technology over the past decade or so.
